Privacy Policy

Orbix Browser ("the app", "we", "us") is a free web browser for iOS. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use it.

 The short version: we have no account system, no login and no server of our own. Your browsing stays on your device. The only information that leaves your phone goes to our advertising partners, and only after you have been asked.

 

 

  1. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

 We do not collect, store, transmit or sell any of the following:

  - Browsing history, the pages you visit, or the time you spend on them

  - Search queries typed into the address bar

  - Website data, cookies or cache

  - Bookmarks, speed dial tiles or open tabs

  - Passwords or form data

  - Files you save through the app

  - Precise or approximate location

  - Contacts, photos, camera, microphone or personal files

  - Your name, email address or phone number

 Orbix Browser has no account, no sign-in and no backend service. There is nowhere for this information to be sent, because we do not operate a server that receives it.

 

 

  2. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY

 The app saves the following locally, inside its own sandboxed storage on your iPhone. It is never uploaded to us:

  - Browsing history and bookmarks

  - Speed dial tiles and open tabs

  - Files you choose to save from a web page

  - Your settings, such as search engine, theme, language and ad blocking

Private Tabs keep nothing at all: history, cache and cookies from a private session are discarded the moment you close the tab.

You can delete any of it at any time. Clear browsing data from Settings inside the app, delete saved files individually from the Saver list, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once.

 

 

  3. ADVERTISING

Orbix Browser is free and supported by advertising. We use these partners:

 

  Google AdMob

Serves banner, interstitial, native and app-open ads. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, general device information (such as model and iOS version), coarse region, and how you interact with an ad.

Meta Audience Network (Facebook SDK)

Used for ad mediation and measurement. It may collect your device's advertising

identifier, device information, and basic app events such as installs and launches.

Neither partner receives your browsing history, the pages you visit, the terms you search for, or the files you save. Those never leave your device.

 

 

  4. YOUR CHOICE ABOUT TRACKING

Before any advertising identifier is used to personalise ads, Orbix Browser shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and asks your permission.

If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised, and every feature of the app continues to work exactly as before. Nothing is withheld from you for saying no.

You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are also shown a consent form for advertising and measurement purposes before ads load, and you can change those choices from within the app.

 

 

  5. FILE SAVING AND MAGNET LINKS

 When a website offers a file for download, Orbix Browser can save it to your device. Saved files are stored in the app's own folder, appear in the iOS Files app, and are excluded from iCloud backup. We never see them, never scan them and never upload them.

Orbix Browser does not include a torrent client and does not download torrent content. If you tap a magnet link, the link is passed to a separate torrent app that you have installed. What that app does with it is governed by that app's own privacy policy, not this one.

 

 

  6. WEBSITES YOU VISIT

Orbix Browser is a browser, so it loads content from third-party websites at your request. Those websites have their own privacy practices and may collect information about you directly. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected in the app's App Store release notes.
